Happy 2012!

Posted 1 January 2012 by

Happy New Year from Authentic CommunicationsIt’s almost the end of the first day of the new year and I just wanted to wish you all a very happy 2012. I am really exited about all the upcoming 12 months. I’ve have big plans for the year that I can’t wait to share with you all, so here is a sneak peek into my evil plot to take over the world:

  • Launching my free social media training website (http://makesenseacademy.com) packed with helpful tips and strategic advice on how to use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+ and many other social sites to help your business stand out from the competition and build tons of buzz.
  • Producing weekly programs on social media strategy for your business. I am debating on whether I want to broadcast on BlogTalk Radio or communicate through a webinar (or maybe even Google Hangout). I will decide soon, because my goal is to begin the show on January 17.
  • Sending out weekly email with very strategic, very tactical ways for you to use social media marketing to increase sales. No fluff here.
  • Creating products to help you develop your own social media strategy and achieve real, measurable results with your online action.
  • Giving back through the Be Heard Project. More details coming soon.

As you can tell, I have two main focuses this year: 1) offer free social media training for those looking to expand the knowledge and experience, 2) provide tools to develop strategic social media marketing campaigns that bring real results.

I have come to realize that there are a lot of social media “experts”, “gurus”, “masters”,… out there that are really spreading some dangerous stuff. I am a little sick of hearing how they promise the world, but all they are doing is taking money and not producing results. I am doing my small part to change that. That’s my goal, anyway.

So, what do you think? I’d love to hear your feedback. And while you are at it, let me know what you are up to this year and if there is anything I can do to help.

Here’s to a kick-ass 2012!
