Thanks Vanessa! I'd love to come back. (I thought I was going to speak at FINZ this month but they changed the plan.)

I've worn bowties since I was 3 years old and have had them as an intentional part of my branding for years (20?).

At a Social Media Breakfast in Maine, that intentionality led the people from Pulp & Wire (http://www.pulpandwire.com/) saw me and asked why my cards weren't bowties. And my friend Lisa Oakes (http://www.lavenderdesigns.com/) created them based on a bowtie I own from http://bowtieclub.com/.

My Facebook and Google+ friends determined that it should be called "getting Marc'd." (Tying one on with Marc and Marc tied it all together didn't make the final cut.)

Truly a team effort!

Marc came to New Zealand to speak at the Exult conference a few years ago. He was known for waring bow ties, but this was before he had his bow tie business cards. His personality kept the members of the conference in touch, along with newsy emails that were not spam! Must say though, that I have seen the photos of people with the business card and feel somewhat left out! He will just have to come back, that's all there is to it. And visit the Milford Sound whilst he and his family are here!

I have to say - I love those five emotions steps - so simple, but so powerful. When looking at the sales process in this way, it's easy to see where you've missed a step!
